Add an Image to Your Post
Adding an image to a post on your website is easy. We'll show you how to do it.
Remember, not all users will be able to do this because not every user has permissions to access the back end of the website.
Getting Started
-
Log in to the portal area of your website.
-
On the app dropdown menu on the dashboard, click on "Website" to navigate to the back end (the editing, or non-public, area) of the website. (Your drop-down menu may contain different items from the one below.)
-
This will take you to the WordPress dashboard of your website. Remember, WordPress is the platform used to build your site. Make sure your site name is at the top. If it's not, hover over "My Sites" and click on your site from the drop-down menu. Then click on Posts.
Add an Image to Your Post
- When you click on Posts, it'll open a screen that shows you a list of all posts, both drafts and published versions. Click on the title of the post you want to add an image to.
- Put your cursor on the place where you want to add an image and click on the Add Media button.
-
In the Add Media screen, you can drag and drop images or upload images from your computer.
-
If you click on "Select Files," you can upload an image from your computer. You'll see your uploaded image in the Media Library screen with the image boxed and checked. Click Insert into post.
-
The image will appear in your post. To resize it, hover over a corner until you see the arrow. Drag that in or out to change the picture size. Click Update to save the changes.
-
To see how the image looks in the published post, click on Preview Changes above the Update button.
